BPF to join NDA, says Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has provided clarity on the ongoing political developments involving the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Bodoland People’s Front (BPF), and United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL). Speaking to the media, the CM confirmed that discussions are ongoing between the BJP and BPF, while also addressing his own political stance.

“BPF will come to the NDA, but UPPL will not be there. The decision will be taken on time,” Sarma said.

He further elaborated on his political involvement saying , “I have carried out my political campaigning with the BPF also. The government will need at least 30–40 days to complete its work.”

Sarma said that he will join the NDA but will not remain with the UPPL. “I will take this as a national-level decision. As long as the BPF government remains successful and as long as women in the villages prosper, I will continue to support the BPF and the Assam government,” he added.
